GANDHI JAYANTI🇮🇳
"Be the change that you wish to see in the world."
— Mahatma Gandhi
Gandhi Jayanti is celebrated on 2nd October to honour the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. Known for his ideals of non-violence, truth, and simplicity, Gandhi led India’s freedom struggle with peace as his strongest weapon. This day reminds us to follow the path of honesty, harmony, and service to others. His life continues to inspire the world to choose courage over conflict.
On Gandhi Jayanti, our college organized a cleanliness drive to honour Gandhiji’s vision of a clean and self-reliant India. We began by cleaning the surroundings of our college and the nearby public post office. It was a collective effort by students and teachers, filled with purpose and unity.
"In a world full of noise, Gandhi proved that non-violence speaks the loudest."
"Gandhi was not just the Father of the Nation—he was the voice of conscience in a divided world."
“The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
— Mahatma Gandhi
A group of students, including myself, also helped clean Kollam Beach, where we focused on removing plastic waste and litter. It was a small step towards protecting the environment and spreading awareness about keeping our natural spaces clean.
“Serve with love, live with truth—that is the spirit of Gandhi Jayanti.”
As we reflect on the life and values of Mahatma Gandhi, we are reminded that his message is more relevant today than ever. His path of truth, non-violence, and service to society continues to inspire us to be better citizens and more compassionate human beings. Let us carry his legacy forward—not just in words, but in the way we live each day.🇮🇳🍀
