 GANDHI BHAVAN VISIT

As part of our Gandhi Bhavan visit, we spent time with the elderly residents of the old-age home, including parents, mothers, and senior citizens living there.



The home had a well-maintained library, and we came to know about an elderly woman who regularly reads books from the library and has written many books herself. In recognition of her love for reading and writing, we presented her with a small token of appreciation as a gesture of respect and encouragement.

Along with this, students performed songs, dances, and short entertaining programmes to bring joy and smiles to the elderly men and women. The visit was a heart-touching experience that highlighted the importance of compassion, respect, and care for senior citizens.

  Weekly Reflection – Week 7 of My School Internship Week 7 of my internship was filled with active teaching, observations, co-curricular engagements, and meaningful learning experiences. Each day offered opportunities to improve my teaching skills and develop a deeper understanding of classroom dynamics. Day 31 – 15 September 2025 I reached the school by 9:00 a.m. and began my first period in Class IX A, where I continued and concluded the chapter “The Toilet.” The lesson focused on enhancing students’ comprehension and vocabulary skills. Using the textbook and flashcards as my teaching–learning resources, I guided students through reading activities, questioning, and a group task. Their engagement and improved confidence in using new vocabulary made the lesson truly fulfilling. I was glad to see how students related events from the story to their personal experiences.  ANNUAL SPORTS DAY   HKM College of Education, Umayanalloor successfully conducted the Akhara Sports Meet 2026 on 7 January 2026 at the college ground with great enthusiasm and participation. The event showcased the true spirit of sportsmanship through a wide range of track and field competitions including 100m and 400m running, shot put, javelin throw, discus throw, long jump, walking, and a mixed relay, with events held for both men and women. Students actively participated and demonstrated remarkable energy, discipline, and teamwork throughout the day. Akhara 2026 stood as a memorable occasion that strengthened unity, promoted physical fitness, and celebrated athletic excellence within the campus.
