Bi-Weekly Reflection

Image
Bi-Weekly Reflection (January 19-28) During the final two weeks of my internship, I focused on assessment, remediation, and project-based experimental teaching. I first conducted an achievement test to evaluate students’ comprehension and identify learning gaps, followed by paper correction and answer discussion to clarify doubts. A diagnostic test was then administered, which helped me pinpoint specific problem areas and plan suitable remedial measures. Based on the results, I provided remedial teaching to address students’ difficulties effectively.  Along with completing the assigned school work, I utilized the remaining days to conduct the experimental study for my project. I carried out a pre-test on grammar (tenses), taught the concepts using substitution tables supported by charts, and then administered a post-test to assess improvement. This phase helped me understand the effectiveness of structured teaching aids in grammar instruction and strengthened my skills in ass...

Bi-weekly Reflection (24th November 2025 – 28th November 2025 & 12th January 2026 – 16th January 2026) During the biweekly period from 24th November to 28th November 2025, my teaching practice progressed alongside meaningful co-curricular exposure. One significant highlight of this week was a school assembly conducted by Class 8B on Dowry Prohibition Day (26th November). The assembly effectively addressed the social evil of dowry through speeches and messages that emphasized gender equality and social responsibility. Observing this assembly gave me an opportunity to understand how morning assemblies can be used as powerful platforms for value education and social awareness. I noted active student participation and confident expression, which reinforced the importance of integrating moral and social issues within the school curriculum. Along with these activities, I continued my teaching practice and introduced the chapter “Neerja Bhanot: A Shield of Courage” during this November pe...

Bi-Weekly Reflection (November 10–21) The first ten days of my second-phase internship marked an important stage in my professional growth as a trainee teacher. From November 10 onwards, I began handling regular classroom teaching and covered several portions as per the timetable. These sessions helped me improve my confidence, lesson planning skills, and classroom interaction. Continuous teaching during this period helped me understand students’ learning levels and the importance of structured and engaging instruction. During this bi-weekly period, I actively observed and participated in school assemblies. On November 13, a morning assembly was conducted, and I closely observed how values and social messages were communicated through prayers, speeches, and activities. This experience helped me understand the role of assemblies in promoting discipline, unity, and awareness among students. A major highlight of this period was the Children’s Day celebration on November 14. A special asse...
